AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Part of the services provided by Cornerstone Properties, Inc. are after hours emergency responses.
- Do not call Cornerstone Properties in the event of fire or a life-threatening situation where the police or fire department should be called. DIAL 911. For other emergencies after hours and on weekends please call 602-231-6784.
- The on-call Manager will receive a page to return your phone call once you have called the emergency number. Before any action is taken, the on-call Manager must verify the situation directly with you. Accordingly, do not use your telephone, but reserve it for the return phone call by the Manager. No action will be taken until the emergency situation is discussed with you.
- Emergency call to contractors are quite expensive on an after hours basis. If at all possible, your call to Cornerstone Properties should be deferred until the following business day.
- Stoppages, faulty plumbing fixtures and many electrical problems may be the owner's responsibility. Repair costs for such items reported to the on-call Manager will be charged back to the homeowner. Investigating leaks from an above or adjacent unit requires access to the source of the leak. Please confirm that your neighbor is at home, available, and willing to cooperate before calling for emergency service unless the leak is severe enough to warrant shutting off all water to the building.
- Broken sprinklers are not considered emergency items as the irrigation control will automatically cycle off the sprinkler within 10 to 15 minutes. However, broken pipes with running water would be an emergency.
- Parking problems, neighbor disputes, barking dogs and noise are not emergency issues and therefore should be deferred until the following business day.
- Please keep these guidelines in mind when assessing the need for emergency service. As always, we remain ready to respond in the case of a true emergency.
